Hi, My name is Kanzhi Wu who is an enthusiast for robotic research especially in the field of Simultaneous Localization and Mapping (SLAM), sensor fusion for state estimation, and also planning algorithms for applications such as active perception and pick-and-place tasks.
I am a senior expert at vivo mobile imaging team, working on 3D spatial perception for mobile devices including sensor fusion, mapping and tracking.
We are hiring :fire: :fire: :fire: and feel free to drop me a message if you are interested!
I am currently leading the spatial perception team at CVTE(Shiyuan) Central Research Institute, focusing on two types of 3D perception tasks: 1) 3D state estimation and 2) 3D object interaction. We developed state-of-the-art visual-inertia odometry, object tracking and gesture tracking algorithms for MR/VR application on multiple platforms including Linux and Android.
I spent wonderful 4 years in Sydney and received my Ph.D. degree at Center for Autonomous Systems, University of Technology Sydney under the supervision of Prof. Gamini Dissanayake. During my Ph.D. work, I visited Zhejiang University and worked closely with Prof. Yong Liu and A/Prof. Yue Wang.
After graduation, I joined DJI as one of the initial members in the automated driving team lead by Prof. Shaojie Shen. Not long after that, I moved to Chengdu and co-founded Tianfu Robotics and dedicated myself into automating the construction industry using advanced robotics and computer vision technologies and built cement blasting and rendering robots serving at rigourous construction sites.
